CHC33015 - Certificate III in Individual Support
Chose to focus on either Ageing, Disability or Home and Community.
This qualification will equip you with the skills to provide a high level of personal, physical and emotional support to clients with high care needs. This qualification will allow you to secure a community care role in one of the three sectors listed below.
Aged care, disability, and home and community care are among Australia’s fastest growing industries with an increasing demand for passionate and qualified employees. The Certificate III in Individual Support is also a stepping stone towards a fulfilling career in nursing.
CHC30113 - Certificate III in Childcare Education and Care
This rewarding career offers you everyday opportunities to make a real difference and be a positive influence in shaping young lives. It is also a great time to start a career in early childhood within this rapidly expanding sector. People with the right qualifications are in demand.
CHC30213 - Certificate III in Education Support
The Certificate III in Education Support (Teacher Aide) is a practical course with topics relevant to supporting roles in the classroom. You will learn individual literacy and numeracy development, contributing to the management & organisation of a classroom, working with disabilities & cultural diversity, administrative more. The Certificate III in Education Support also incorporates a work experience element so you will get to put into practice the theory & skills you learn.
CHC32015 - Certificate III in Community Services
This qualification will give you core skills in managing stress in the workplace, working with diverse people and communication skills required for operating in community services organisations.
Who can participate in a Skilling Queenslanders for Work project?
Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) primarily targets Queensland residents who are:
ineligible for Australian Government employment services or assistance; or
require complementary services because they have significant barriers to learning and employment; or
have accessed Australian Government services for more than six months and remain unemployed.
Key target groups for SQW include:
young people (15-24 years), including those in and transitioned from out-of-home care
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
mature age jobseekers (45+ years)
people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
people with disability
women re-entering the workforce
Australian Defence Force (ADF) veterans and ex-ADF members and their families returning to work following active military service.
More broadly, disadvantaged jobseekers and underutilised Queensland workers are able to access assistance under SQW. Participants who fall into this category do not have to belong to one of the target groups listed above.
Participants must be:
aged 15 years or older
an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident (includes humanitarian entrant), temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on a pathway to permanent residency, or a New Zealand citizen.
