Our Migrants Matter – Youth for Work project is funded by Queensland Government Skilling Queenslanders for Work (Ready for Work). Our program topics include: Preparing for Work, Job Search Training, Employability Skills Training, one-on-one case management and pathways to training opportunities.
Eligibility criteria: 15-24 years, no longer at school; permanent Queensland resident or New Zealand Citizen; not eligible for Australian Government employment services or assistance; require complementary services because of significant barriers to learning and employment; receiving Australian Government services for over 6 months but still unemployed. Priority will be given to young people who have already left school or are undertaking further education and training.
The Migrant Centre is funded by government grants including the Australian Government Living Safe Together Grants Programme to provide support and assistance to youths from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Our project “Living Safe on the Gold Coast” engages, connects and builds dialogue with diverse communities on the Gold Coast.
